Lacoste continues its 90th anniversary celebrations with a full day of high-profile events dedicated to its New York community

• The day of celebration started by giving back to the NYC community with the inauguration of two fully redesigned tennis courts in the Bronx, in presence of tennis icon Venus Williams.

In 2023, Lacoste builds its 90th anniversary around its communities and travels the world to celebrate them, shaping the brand through their passion, individuality, and style, through a series of experimental events designed to create a more intimate brand conversation.

September 9 is a key date regarding Lacoste’s fashion sport DNA, in the midst of Fashion Week, and just when the heart of tennis is beating in New York during the US Open.

During this whole day, Lacoste paid tribute to its NYC community with two celebrations embodying the two dimensions of the iconic French House: fashion and sport, as well as its values, including transmission and sharing.

First, in the Bronx, where Lacoste completely redesigned 2 tennis courts in collaboration with the City of New York and the brand’s partner City Parks Foundation. These renovated courts will benefit local tennis fans and City Parks will organize weekly sessions.

The renovation is supported by Venus Williams, the brand’s global ambassador and international tennis icon. Inspiring, bold, committed, Venus shares with Lacoste the same values and the same belief in the power of sport to change lives and achieve fulfillment.

At the event, Venus unveiled a look from her collaboration with Lacoste (Eleven by Venus x Lacoste), to be launched on November 8.

This highlight continued with a fashion evening in the heart of Manhattan, at the legendary Nine Orchard, whose rooftop doors reopened especially for this event. On this occasion, Pelagia Kolotouros, Lacoste’s Creative Design Director, revealed silhouettes from her first artistic approach, worn by brand ambassadors and talents including especially Venus Williams, Irina Shayk, Devonte Hynes, Jeon Somi…
