Lacoste x Mackintosh

Two Legacies, One Exceptional Collection

Unveiled during the Autumn-Winter 2026 runway show on the centre court of Roland Garros, the collaboration between Lacoste and Mackintosh challenges both style and the elements.

Designed under the creative direction of Pelagia Kolotouros, Creative Director of Lacoste, this exceptional capsule collection brings together two houses united by a shared spirit of innovation. Renowned for its handcrafted, bonded and taped waterproof cotton garments, the legendary Scottish outerwear house Mackintosh lends its ancestral expertise to twelve pieces defined by uncompromising functionality and radical elegance.

Function Meets Refinement...

Twelve pieces rooted in the legacy of two visionary founders: René Lacoste and Charles Mackintosh. One, the inventor of the polo shirt and a tennis champion celebrated for his distinctive elegance; the other, the creator of the world’s first waterproof garment in 1823.

Faithful to this pioneering spirit, the Lacoste x Mackintosh collection merges two exceptional savoir-faire, transporting wardrobe classics onto new ground where performance and refinement rally effortlessly back and forth.

A polo poncho. A trench dress. A shirt-jacket inspired by the tracksuit. A belted pleated skirt. A minimalist coat. A low-waisted trench. A blouson with adjustable cuffs. Each crafted in Mackintosh’s iconic waterproof bonded cotton, composed of a layer of liquid rubber bonded between two layers of fabric. Together, these pieces embody an aesthetic and functional versatility that is unmistakably Lacoste.

...Down to the Finest Detail

Generous yet precise silhouettes, patterned and assembled by the artisans of the Mackintosh ateliers, are elevated by a host of sophisticated details: co-branded buttons inspired by the runway palette, a tone-on-tone Fawn Beige fabric crocodile, hanging chains adorned with a metal crocodile charm, oversized labels and pockets.

Like a recurring motif, Mackintosh’s signature waterproof tape runs through the collection. Applied in white along interior seams and with non-conductive black tape on the cuffs and hems, it echoes the graphic lines of a tennis court.

The detailing extends to the iconic Lenglen bag, reimagined for the collaboration in two versions crafted from the same bonded cotton: one finished with black trim, the other rendered in a clean monochrome design.

The accessories are an integral part of the collection and further elevate its neo-tennis spirit and playful sensibility. From an impeccably chic racket cover to leather charms inspired by Lacoste archive motifs and Mackintosh care labels, each piece pushes the collaboration’s distinctive aesthetic one step further.

Suspended between sporting energy and timeless elegance.

The collection will be available from September 24th online and in a selection of stores
